Notre Dame Football Mailbag - Dream Recruiting Class For 2025

Irish Breakdown had its weekly Notre Dame Football Mailbag this week and it was jam packed with great content. IB listeners asked a lot of great questions and we did our best to provide answers that matched the quality of the questions.

It was a long show so we broke it into four parts. The first was actually a big segment during the mailbag where we talk about the "dream class" for Notre Dame in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

We go position by position and attempt to fill out the class in as realistic, but also impressive as we could think of. It's so early in the process that names will be added and some players will fall off, but there are certainly players on the board now that we believe Notre Dame will land, or at least has a great chance to land.

MAILBAG - PART I

Here are some topics from the first part of the show:

*** What the Notre Dame coaches can do in fall camp to prepare for Navy and the rest of the early season opponents.

*** Three things we are looking for in the first three games of the season that will make us excited about the Notre Dame offense.

*** How Notre Dame can thrive against the Jim Knowles (Ohio State) defense.

*** We also talk a little Big 12 during this portion of the show as well.

MAILBAG - PART II

Here are some topics from the second segment of the show.

*** Does Notre Dame have a plan at defensive tackle after missing on Justin Scott.

*** We compare the 2023 and 2025 recruiting classes, especially at quarterback.

*** Can cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Cam Hart develop into first round NFL Draft picks.

*** Does Notre Dame have a better chance to win a championship in 2023 or 2025.

*** Improvements we want to see from head coach Marcus Freeman in year two.

MAILBAG - PART III

Here are some topics from the third segment of the show.

*** One thing Notre Dame can do to start landing five-star recruits.

*** Projecting the best NFL career for Notre Dame's current receivers and commitments.

*** What Notre Dame's administration and what Irish fans can do to make sure Ohio State doesn't take over the stadium in September.

*** How close Notre Dame has been to winning a championship in past seasons.

*** We talk a little Oklahoma and Texas.
