Commitment Preview: Defensive End Loghan Thomas Ready To Make A Decision

One of the top defensive targets on the board for Notre Dame in the 2024 class is Katy (Texas) Paetow defensive end Loghan Thomas. The talented edge is ready to make his college decision. Thomas will announce a decision tonight at 5:45 PM eastern time, and he'll pick between Notre Dame, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Arizona.

THE FINALISTS

Here is a look at Thomas and his five finalists:

Notre Dame - Thomas made two visits to Notre Dame this spring, first traveling to South Bend late in March (25-26), and following up with another visit this past weekend. A growing relationship with defensive line coach Al Washington and the all-around package that Notre Dame offers are keys to the Irish being in good position heading into his announcement. Thomas is originally from Ohio, so he has family not far from South Bend.

Oklahoma - The Paetow star also made a pair of trips to Oklahoma, first visiting back in January and then making a return trip in April for the Sooner spring game. Thomas has praised Oklahoma's culture and family atmosphere for why he likes the Sooner program.

Georgia - Thomas visited Georgia in April and the two-time defending champions clearly made a strong impression.

Texas Tech - Thomas has been to Lubbock more than any other school, with his most recent visit coming in March. That includes multiple game day visits to see the Red Raiders under head coach Joey McGuire.

Arizona - Thomas made an in-season visit to Tucson during the 2022 season but I don't believe he's returned since then and the Wildcats appear to be on the outside looking in.
