THE FINALISTS

Here is a look at Johnson and his three finalists:

Notre Dame - Johnson has been a frequent visitor to the Irish campus over the years, making seven different trips to South Bend. Notre Dame offered him last summer after he had a dominant performance at the Irish Invasion summer camp. Johnson was a priority recruit for some time, although it seemed that him ending up in the class wouldn't happen. Johnson did a lot of work to put himself in position to be a top target for Notre Dame, and the Irish are the perceived leader heading into his announcement, especially after his official visit in early June.

Purdue - Johnson also made several trips to Purdue, including two visits in the current calendar year. The Boilermakers haven't had him on campus since March. He was offered by current head coach Ryan Walters while he was still at Illinois.

Tennessee - Tennessee hosted Johnson for two different trips and were named by Johnson as one of his three finalists.
