Elite Linebacker Noah Mikhail Felt At Home During Notre Dame Visit

In this story:
Notre Dame has had La Verne (Calif.) Bonita linebacker Noah Mikhail as a top priority for a very long time, and the elite 2025 linebacker has called Notre Dame his “dream school” since he was a kid.
Mikhail made the trip back to South Bend for the second time during the week. He was offered the opportunity to meet with the coaches, tour the campus again and see a spring practice. It is the relationships with the people behind the scenes that really stuck with him.
"My favorite part of the trip was being able to spend time meeting with Coach (Marcus) Freeman, Coach (Al) Golden, Coach (Max) Bullough, Chad Bowden and Caleb Davis,” Mikhail said. "It was great getting to know them and the rest of the staff better.
"The conversations were great being my second time there,” he continued. "It's nice to continue to build that connection further.”
It was not his parents’ second time on campus. In fact, they have been there several times at this point. South Bend seems to be a place that they are extremely fond of.
"My parents came with me on the visit,” said Mikhail. "It’s their fourth time on campus and of course it’s beautiful and has a lot of history. They love coming back.”
Seeing the live practice was a new experience for Mikhail in a somewhat familiar place. Seeing the players be able to compete at the highest level was a great opportunity. It did not disappoint.
"Being able to watch practice was great,” he said. "The players went live so it was cool to be there to watch them compete and fly around.”
So far, it’s hard not to feel great about where Notre Dame is with Mikhail early on. That relationship has grown exponentially and the staff continues to push all the right buttons with the California star.
Mikhail is considered a consensus four-star recruit on every major recruiting platform. On 247Sports, he is considered as the No. 20 overall player and the No. 2 linebacker in the 2025 recruiting class. They also rank him as the No. 2 player in the state of California in the cycle.
From an offer perspective, Mikhail has a quickly expanding list. Some of his more notable offers include the Irish, Oklahoma, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Oregon, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Stanford, Michigan State, UCLA, Washington, Arkansas, Arizona State, Cal, Washington State, Boston College, Arizona, and Colorado among others.
In ten games, the 6-3, 210-pound linebacker has been an absolute menace for Bonita. He led the team with 112 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss. Mikhail also registered three sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and four pass breakups.
