2024 Wide Receiver Jason Robinson Jr. Goes In Depth On Recent Visit To Notre Dame

In this story:
Notre Dame has been trending in a good direction with Long Beach (Calif.) Poly wide receiver Jason Robinson Jr., who is a top target for the Irish in the 2024 class. This week, Robinson and his family returned to campus for the first time since the team’s massive 44-0 victory over Boston College.
Despite being an unofficial visit, Robinson’s stay in South Bend wasn’t just that day. It wasn’t just until the next morning. No, the family stayed on campus until Wednesday to take in all of the sights.
There was a little bit of everything for the Robinson's during the visit, but at the core, the big takeaway was Notre Dame cares about Robinson and has clearly made him a priority.
"Some of my favorite parts of the trip were when I had just arrived and when I also was leaving every coach came to see me and it made it feel like I should genuinely be there,” Robinson told Irish Breakdown. "Small things like that carry a lot of weight.
"My conversations with the coaches were all great,” Robinson continued. "We got a chance to wrap about not only how I would fit into their program as a player but a person and leader too.”
Robinson also got to see the Notre Dame team in action.
"Seeing a couple of the team practices was great,” he added. "I got to see how professional they run their program, but also incorporating fun and exciting things that makes the practices all that more electric.”
Being a Notre Dame football player doesn’t start and end with what happens on Saturdays. It doesn’t even end with what happens between the lines either. This visit showed the full scope of impact that Notre Dame can have on Robinson.
"I was surprised by the numerous opportunities you are presented with by being connected with Notre Dame,” Robinson said. "It is way more than just football. Being a professional, being a person, it’s all of it.”
Robinson highlighted the next steps and a timeline to consider.
"I can 100 percent see myself fitting in the Notre Dame program,” he explained. "The next step in this process is taking my official visits and really getting a feel for everything, then making my decision from there.”
Notre Dame promises to be in this one until the end. The combination of football, authenticity and being a Notre Dame man left a lasting impression on Robinson.
Robinson is considered a four-star recruit by Rivals. They rank as the No. 41 wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 23 player in the state of California. The 5-10, 170-pound pass catcher is currently ranked as the No. 407 overall player and No. 58 wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class on the 247Sports composite ranking.
The Long Beach Poly standout came off a strong season as a sophomore in which he racked up 1,007 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 63 receptions for the 11-4 squad. He also finished second on the team with 16 yards per reception, showcasing his big play ability.
As a junior, Robinson has another strong season. Although he was limited to eight games, the California standout hauled in 46 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns.
