Notre Dame Checks In On Talented Tight End Brock Harris

Elite 2026 tight end Brock Harris updates his early relationship with Notre Dame

The Notre Dame coaches have been making their rounds on the recruiting trail over the last couple of weeks, visiting the schools of several big time players on the 2025 and 2026 classes. On Tuesday, Mike Denbrock stopped by Saint George (Utah) Pine View, which is the home of star 2026 tight end Brock Harris.

An absolute star, Harris has seen his recruiting profile blow up this offseason. He has done his best to balance that hecticness and remain focused.

"It’s been a busy offseason,” Harris told Irish Breakdown. "I’ve been doing a lot of lifting and running routes. I’ve also been working with a wide receivers coach. The 7-on-7 season starts this month too.

"I am just enjoying the ride,” he added. "I know I am in a really great position with a lot of opportunities other kids would love to have. So I feel really blessed.”

Even before this recent visit to the school, Denbrock has been doing his homework on Harris. Although communication is limited for 2026 recruits, Notre Dame has made a good early impression on Harris.

"Coach Denbrock has been in contact a couple of times with my coach,” Harris explained. "They haven’t officially offered me yet, but they have some big offer reveal party on St. Patrick’s Day. I’m hoping that it will come then.

"He seems like a really cool guy,” Harris continued. "He has been around a long time and has a great reputation. He said that he really likes my game and that I would fit in the offense at Notre Dame perfectly. He said he was going to reach out to my coach again next week before the black out period begins.”

Over the next couple of months, Harris and his family will be busy making the travels to several schools. It will be interesting to see if South Bend will be a destination sometime this offseason.

"I will be traveling to see Arizona and Arizona State,” he said. "I will also probably see BYU and Utah again. I will be at Oregon this weekend as well. Then I will figure out the rest of the spring and summer for camps and visits.”

Notre Dame has obviously developed the tight end position as well as anyone. Harris could be the next elite target on the board, and this is about developing a great early bond during the open period.

The 6-6, 210-pound pass catcher is already a player that is highly rated as a recruit. He currently sits as a four-star player by On3, 247Sports and Rivals, the three sites who have rated him thus far. The latter has him rated the highest, currently sitting as the No. 20 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Harris has heard from a lot of big time programs as well so far. He currently holds offers from Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Florida State, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M, Washington, Tennessee, Auburn, Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington State and BYU among others.

An elite tight end in 2026, Harris really impressed as a sophomore in 2023. He finished second on Pine View with 55 receptions for 665 yards and eight touchdowns. Harris averaged 12.1 yards per reception and had a long reception of 44 yards on the season.
