Notre Dame Coaches On The Road - May 16th

In this story:
Notre Dame coaches are out on the road again this week and the May 16th travel day will have the Irish staff checking in on a number of talented 2024 and 2025 prospects. Here is where we expect the staff to be on Tuesday, May 16th.
Gerad Parker, Offensive Coordinator - In what has become a familiar place to him, Parker will be headed out to Nebraska for his third trip to Ainsworth (Neb.) High School. That is the home of 2024 tight end Carter Nelson. Notre Dame doesn't necessarily need a second tight end in the 2024 class, but the staff loves Nelson as a prospect. He's the kind of player that is just too good to pass up.
Gino Guidugli, Quarterbacks - Guidugli continues his journey to check in on the nation's best quarterbacks in the 2025 and 2026 classes. His next stop is Belleville (Mich.) High School, which is the home of the nation's best quarterback, Bryce Underwood. Notre Dame is playing catch up with Underwood, but they continue to battle as they look for a top signal caller in that class.
Deland McCullough, Running Backs - McCullough will be down in Louisiana checking in on standout 2025 running back James Simon, who attends Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist. Notre Dame has been in to Calvary Baptist before, so it's clear that Simon is a prospect the staff is high on in the 2025 class.
Chansi Stuckey, Wide Receivers - Notre Dame is not backing down when it comes to the recruitment of Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin star receiver Jaime Ffrench. Getting Ffrench out of the south will be very, very challenging, but that's what Notre Dame is trying to do.He visited Notre Dame in the spring and this is yet another visit the staff is making to his high school. There is no doubt he's a priority target for the Irish in the 2025 class.
Joe Rudolph, Offensive Line - Rudolph will be making a Northeast tour. Expect him to be at different schools in New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts checking in on top blockers in the 2024 and 2025 classes.
Al Golden, Defensive Coordinator - Golden is expected to be by a number of high schools in New York. We expect him to be at Bronx (N.Y.) Archbishop Stepinac, which is the home of 2024 cornerback Samuel Madu. He'll also head over to New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona Prep, which is the home of 2025 offensive tackle Rowan Byrne. Golden should also be at East Northport (N.Y.) St. Anthony's, which is the home of 2026 defensive tackle Preston Carey. None of these prospects currently have offers from Notre Dame but that should change soon, at least with Carey.
Al Washington, Defensive Line - Notre Dame will be into Georgia to check in on elite defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, the nation's best defender in the 2025 class. The odds of Notre Dame getting Griffin out of Georgia will be incredibly challenging, but the Irish are certainly giving it a run.
Mike Mickens, Cornerbacks - The Irish cornerbacks coach will be in Florida checking in on a number of cornerbacks. Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep athlete Dallas Golden is a player Notre Dame is extremely high on. He visited for the Blue-Gold Game and this isn't the first time the Irish staff has been by Berkeley Prep to check on him. He's a clear priority player for the Irish in the 2025 class. I also expect Mickens to be by Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney, the home of 2025 cornerback Chris McCorkle and 2024 safety Teddy Foster.
Chris O'Leary, Safeties - O'Leary will be on the West Coast checking in on safeties, and one place I expect him to be is West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade. That is the home of Marquis Gallegos, a talented prospect that visited Notre Dame in the spring. Gallegos has Notre Dame in his list of top schools, but the Irish are trailing a bit here.
Marty Biagi, Special Teams - Biagi will be out in Colorado and Utah, and you can absolutely expect him to be by American Fork (Utah) High school, which is the home of priority safety target Davis Andrews.
