Notre Dame Coaches On The Road - May 2nd

In this story:
The Notre Dame staff is out on the road against today checking out many of the nation's top players in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes. Here is where we expect the Irish coaches to be today, May 2nd.
Gerad Parker, Offensive Coordinator - The Irish offensive coordinator will be down in Georgia to see a Notre Dame commit and a pair of 2025 tight ends. Parker and line coach Joe Rudolph will head over to Roswell (Ga.) High School, which is the home of 2024 offensive line commit Anthonie Knapp. He'll also head over to Alpharetta (Ga.) High School, the home of 2025 tight end Ethan Barbour and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton, the home of another 2025 tight end, Ryan Ghea. Ghea made two spring visits to see South Bend and the Irish are player in that recruitment.
Chansi Stuckey, Wide Receivers - Wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey will be down in Arizona today. He'll swing by Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep, which is the home of 2025 wide receiver Cooper Perry. Notre Dame offered Perry during its Pot of Gold rush and the Irish are an early top school for the standout athlete. Stuckey will also be over at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain, which is the home of 2024 tight end Dillon Hipp.
Gino Guidugli, Quarterbacks - Parker and Rudolph won't be the only coaches down in the Peach State. Guidugli will be down to check in on three underclass quarterbacks. Guidugli will head over to Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, the home of 2025 signal caller EJ Colson, who visited Notre Dame this spring. He will head over to Alpharetta (Ga.) High School with Parker to check in on 2026 quarterback DJ Bordeaux. Guidugli will also visit Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton with Parker, where he'll check in on 2025 quarterback Luke Nickel. This one is interesting, as Nickel is the younger brother of one time Notre Dame tight end commit Jack Nickel, who Notre Dame dropped.
Deland McCullough, Running Backs - McCullough will be down in Texas to visit a pair of running backs. He'll swing by Lufkin (Texas) High School, which is the home of talented running back Kedren Young. The standout runner plans to visit Notre Dame officially in June, and between now and then the Irish coaches are hoping to build a strong bond as they look to add him to the class when it's all said and done. Needless to say, the Notre Dame coaches are extremely high on Young. He'll also head over to Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist to check in on talented 2025 running back James Simon.
Joe Rudolph, Offensive Line - Notre Dame is sending a heavy contingent to Georgia today, with Rudolph going with Parker to see Knapp, as was mentioned above. He'll stay in Roswell for a second trip, this time to Fellowship Christian School, which is the home of 2025 offensive lineman Joshua Petty. The 6-4, 265-pound sophomore is considered one of the best blockers in the 2025 class.
Al Golden, Defensive Coordinator - After spending Monday out in California, the Irish defensive coordinator will travel to Nebraska, where he'll visit Omaha (Neb.) Westside, which is the home of 2025 linebacker Christian Jones. The 6-3, 205-pound Jones is an outstanding athlete and one of the top linebackers in the 2025 class, and Notre Dame has gotten on him early.
Al Washington, Defensive Line - Washington is out visiting many of the top 2024 prospects on the defensive line board this week. Yesterday he was in Arizona to check in on elite edge Elijah Rushing, and he's headed to Texas today. Washington will be by Katy (Texas) Paetow edge rusher Loghan Thomas. The Irish hosted Thomas this winter and things went quite well. Notre Dame will look to continue that bond with this visit from Washington, who will be sure to relay Notre Dame's major interest in Thomas.
Mike Mickens, Cornerbacks - Mickens will be in his native state of Ohio checking in on two outstanding cornerbacks. He'll head to Springfield (Ohio) High School, which is the home of big time 2024 corner Aaron Scott. The Irish currently trail Michigan and Ohio State with Scott, but Mickens continues to work hard to get the Irish in better position. He'll head to Clayton (Ohio) Northmont, which is the home of one of the best two-way standouts in the 2025 class. That would be Dorian Brew, who is a legit next level player at both cornerback and wide receiver. Notre Dame is extremely high on Brew, who visited the Irish this summer.
Chris O'Leary, Safeties - O'Leary will be regional recruiting and will spend his day in Tampa, Florida.
Marty Biagi, Special Teams - Biagi will remain in Hawaii doing area scouting and recruiting.
