Notre Dame Expands Running Back Board With Oklahoma Star Xavier Robinson

Notre Dame is looking to add a second running back to their 2024 class to pair with Missouri star Aneyas Williams. It is a small board but got a little bigger on Monday when the Irish staff extended an offer to Midwest City (Okla.) Carl Albert running back Xavier Robinson.

More and more programs continue to check in on Robinson, seeing his offer list expand quickly. Some of the premier programs who have offered the Oklahoma star so far include the Fighting Irish, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Vanderbilt

The 6-2, 225-pound runner has been a dynamic presence for the Carl Albert Titans. During his junior season, Robinson rushed for 2,594 yards and 39 touchdowns for the 12-2 squad. He did so on just 276 carries, averaging an absurd 9.4 yards per carry.

In the passing game, Robinson also hauled in an additional 10 receptions for 78 yards and another score. On Robinson’s lone kick return last season, he took it back 69 yards for a touchdown.

Notre Dame is currently pushing for a couple talented 2024 runners in Texas standout Kedren Young and Florida star Anthony Carrie, both of whom have official visits set up to Notre Dame this June. It will be interesting to see if Robinson makes the trip to South Bend over the next few weeks. It would quickly showcase how much interest he has in Notre Dame, an offer that he called “a really big one.”

Robinson had plans to make a college decision on May 10th but that timeline has been extended. He now has plans to take his official visits to make a better decision. The talented running back already has official visits set to Iowa State (June 9th), Oklahoma (June 15th) and Oklahoma State (June 22nd).
