Ever since star Bryant (Ark.) High School running back Daniel Anderson camped at Notre Dame earlier this summer, things have gotten extremely busy. Fresh off of several camp performances, Anderson is capping off July with a few school visits, including a trip back to South Bend.

"At the end of this month, I'll be at Arkansas State, Ole Miss, and back at Notre Dame on the 30th,” Anderson told Irish Breakdown. "So far, Notre Dame coaches and the campus have been impressive. I felt welcomed from the moment camp started. They really support players studying abroad. It's rooted in tradition and has everything I'm looking for in athletics and academics.”

The 2025 running back getting back to Notre Dame so quickly is a great sign, especially for such a big event like the recruiting cookout. The relationship is fresh, and one that he is excited to continue to build.

"Forming relationships right now is challenging because of how busy the summer tends to be,” said Anderson. "The staff has been very friendly so far. That’s the great part about the upcoming visit. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the players and making connections with the coaching staff.”

Despite that small window of developing a relationship, Notre Dame has done a tremendous job of making Anderson feel welcomed. Their pitch is simple: they want him in the 2025 class.

"The overall message seems to be that they really want me to join the Notre Dame family,” he explained. "I seem to have impressed them and am just excited to continue building that relationship.”

Anderson has been a pretty underrated recruit so far. It’s been a learning process but one he is figuring out quickly. Come September 1st, things are going to get real. He has taken advantage of the last couple months to really get his footing.

"Recruiting has been pretty cool and interesting,” he explained. "It's been nice having the opportunity to talk to the high school scouts and get a feel of the process. I’ve just been going to camps and trying to impress coaches. I haven't really even set a timeline since this is my junior season, and everything is so new to me. I’m just excited overall to go through the process.”

Anderson is coming off of a highly productive sophomore season, sitting as a huge reason why Bryant was able to capture their fifth straight state championship. He finished with 856 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns on just 74 carries, including an impressive 11.6 yards per carry average.

The talented runner was also a weapon in the passing game. Anderson exploded for 246 yards and three touchdowns on just nine receptions. That was good enough for a 27.3 yards per reception average.

The 5-11, 190-pound athlete has been gaining substantial interest on the recruiting trail recently. Anderson has been extended offers from the Fighting Irish, Tennessee and Mississippi State among others.

From a recruiting ranking perspective, Anderson is considered a four-star recruit according to Rivals. The Arkansas native is currently pegged as the No. 160 overall player and No. 15 player in the 2025 recruiting class.
