Notre Dame Impresses 2025 Tight End Ryan Ghea For Second Straight Week

In this story:
For the second straight weekend, 2025 Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton tight end Ryan Ghea made the trip back to Notre Dame. Following his initial trip with his mother, the Georgia native enjoyed the trip so much that he wanted to share it with the rest of his family.
The Irish program has clearly made a big impact on Ghea in a very short amount of time. That impression was also made on his family in attendance this weekend.
“I really wanted to show my dad and siblings the amazing facilities and campus,” Ghea explained. “This time on campus we got to go inside the Golden Dome and we had an academic meeting.
“My dad and brother loved the campus and facilities and all the coaches,” continued Ghea. “It really is a special place.”
While it’s unlikely that a commitment comes anytime soon, clearly there is an affinity for the potential fit. In fact, Ghea is already talking about coming back to campus both in the summer and fall.
The authenticity of the coaches is one thing that continues to shine through for Ghea. Their message has been extremely consistent, one that the Notre Dame program lives by.
"The main message that the staff has given is that you have to work hard,” he said. "Nothing will come easy but it is rewarding in the end.”
Ghea has already garnered interest from several big time programs so far. Some of his notable offers so far include Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Colorado, Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Louisville, Duke, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Kansas and Indiana among others.
Ghea is ranked as a four-star recruit according to Rivals. They have the Milton star ranked as the No. 200 overall player and No. 6 ranked tight end in the 2025 recruiting class. He is also considered the No. 22 overall player in the state of Georgia, a territory that has a long history of producing some top level talent.
The 6-5, 240-pound tight end was utilized most as a dominant blocker for Milton as a sophomore. Whether inline or split out, Ghea routinely made his impact felt in that department. In the passing game, he hauled in 11 receptions for 177 yards and one touchdown. That is an average of 16.1 yards per reception.
