Notre Dame Makes Top Ten For North Carolina Defender Isaiah Campbell

Notre Dame has already been making tremendous process recruiting the 2025 class, already generating a ton of interest from several top players on the board. On Monday, they were included as a top ten school for Durham (N.C.) Southern defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell.

The Irish were joined by Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Oklahoma, LSU, Penn State, Duke, NC State and North Carolina.

Campbell is considered to be a consensus four-star player across every major recruiting platform. The North Carolina standout ranks highest by 247Sports, sitting as the No. 80 overall player and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class.

The 6-5, 265-pound defensive lineman has already demanded the attention of several top programs in college football. Aside from his top ten schools, Campbell currently holds offers from Georgia, South Carolina, Auburn, Colorado, Virginia, Louisville, Wake Forest and Rutgers among many others.

As a sophomore, Campbell was a dominant force for the Greene Central Rams. He totaled 61 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and five sacks. Campbell also had three quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and two blocked field goals.

The talented defender transferred to Southern High School this off-season. Notre Dame is hoping to continue their momentum in the state of North Carolina, including landing commitments from wide receiver Micah Gilbert, tight end Jack Larsen and defensive end Bryce Young in the 2024 class.
