Notre Dame Offers 2024 Defender Cameron Pruitt

The Notre Dame defensive board continues to add some impressive talent in the 2024 recruiting class over the last few weeks. On Monday, defensive coordinator Al Golden extended an offer to 2024 Theodore (Ala.) High School defender Cameron Pruitt.

The Irish staff projects Pruitt as a rover fit that could potentially grow into a WILL linebacker down the road. Over the previous two recruiting cycles in 2023 and 2024, the program has put together a dynamic seven-man group total.

The Alabama native brings an impressive physical profile that feels like a seamless fit on the second level. With the emphasis to add length and explosiveness to the linebacker group, Pruitt seems like a perfect fit.

Pruitt has a very impressive offer list so far. Some of his notable offers include the Irish, Alabama, Texas A&M, Penn State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Michigan State, Colorado, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Indiana among others.

The people ranking recruits haven’t quite caught on to the caliber of player that Pruitt is. Judging by the offer list, that should change in the very near future.

The 6-3, 190-pound defender is coming off of an incredible junior campaign. In 12 games, he finished second on the 13-1 Theodore squad with 99 total tackles. He also posted 15 tackles for loss, two sacks, three quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles and an interception.
