Notre Dame Offers 2024 Safety Taebron Bennie-Powell

Notre Dame extends an offer to Ohio safety Taebron Bennie-Powell following his performance at the evaluation camp

On Thursday, Notre Dame hosted a flurry of talented recruits on campus for their evaluation camp. Among the top performers was 2024 West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West safety Taebron Bennie-Powell, who was offered by the Irish following the workout.

The 6-1, 170-pound defender was the teammate of 2023 Notre Dame safety signee Ben Minich. Playing with both Minich and Ohio State safety signee Malik Hartford, Bennie-Powell played more of a rover and outside linebacker role for the talented Lakota West squad.

Bennie-Powell is currently rated as a three-star recruit by On3, 247Sports and Rivals.

The Ohio native has begun pulling in more offers recently. On top of the recent offer from the Fighting Irish, Bennie-Powell has also been offered by Kentucky, Duke, West Virginia and Pittsburgh among others.

Safety recruiting during the 2024 recruiting class has been a less than stellar showing from the Irish staff. They currently hold one commitment from Arizona standout Kennedy Urlacher and are in good position for Indiana star Brauntae Johnson who is making his college decision on June 24th.

Bennie-Powell was a player that the staff got a long look at on the field on Thursday during the latest Notre Dame evaluation camp. He obviously did enough for the staff to decide to throw him an offer.
