Notre Dame Offers 2024 Star Maryland Linebacker Keyshawn Flowers

The linebacker board for the 2024 recruiting class has gone under some serious changes over the last few weeks, seeing a flurry of new offers being extended by the Notre Dame staff. That continued on Wednesday when an offer was extended to Severn (Md.) Archbishop Spalding linebacker Keyshawn Flowers.

Flowers is coming off of a standout junior campaign for Archbishop Spalding. In 12 games, the Maryland native collected 81 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and five sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recovered two more.

The 6-2, 215-pound defender has garnered interest from a lot of blue blood programs. Some of his notable offers include the Irish, USC, Miami, Oklahoma, Maryland, NC State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Virginia, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Duke and Indiana among others.

The recruiting rankings do not match that level of interest. Judging by his offer list, production and quality of film, the ranking bump should come relatively quickly.

Notre Dame has put together back-to-back tremendous linebacker hauls in the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes. That includes seven impressive athletes, including Joshua Burnham, Jaylen Sneed, Nolan Ziegler, Junior Tuihalamaka, Drayk Bowen, Jaiden Ausberry and Preston Zinter.

There are a lot of questions currently regarding the 2024 linebacker class in terms of momentum. With so many questions, the staff will need to buckle down and find some answers. It will be interesting to see if Flowers might be a part of that equation moving forward.
