Notre Dame Offers 2026 Linebacker Anthony Jones

The Notre Dame staff has had a busy few days. The coaches are back on the road, visiting the schools of several talented recruits across the country.

On Thursday, the Irish staff extended an offer to Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul’s Episcopal linebacker Anthony Jones. It has also been a busy time for Jones, who has already been blowing up on the recruiting trail, including this recent Notre Dame offer.

The 6-4, 215-pound defender has already garnered interest from various big time programs. Some of his notable offers include Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State, Colorado, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech among several others.

The Alabama native was an absolute menace on the defensive side of the ball as a freshman. He totaled 130 tackles, 15 sacks and two interceptions on the season. Jones also totaled four touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball, while also returning an interception for another score.

Jones is the definition of versatility, possessing the length and athleticism to project favorably at several positions. Notre Dame extended the offer as a linebacker, hoping to grab the Alabama native’s attention early on before he really blows up. This is a rare athlete that Notre Dame needs more of.
