Notre Dame Offers A Dynamic Group Of 2026 Tight Ends

Breaking down the 2026 tight end recruits offered during the Pot of Gold

When you talk about the tight end position, there aren’t many better developers of talent on the college level than Notre Dame. On Sunday during the Pot of Gold offer event, the Irish staff offered five extremely talented tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class.

Here are each one of those talented pass catchers. That includes a small breakdown of each player, and the upside they bring to the table.

BROCK HARRIS - Saint George (Utah) Pine View

For a player his age, Harris is an outstanding route runner at the tight end position. He is very technically advanced, clearly understanding how to attack leverage and get in and out of his breaks. Harris is also incredibly flexible, presenting himself as a multi level threat on the next level. He is also a dominant player down the field, possessing good overall athleticism and outstanding ball skills to track the football.

KENDRE HARRISON - Reidsville (N.C.) High School

There is a good argument that Harrison may be the top overall athlete in the 2026 recruiting class regardless of position. At 6-7 and 235 pounds, Harrison could play tight end, wide receiver or defensive at a high level on the next level. Athletically, there isn’t really a hole in Harrison’s game. He’s fast, flexible, strong and has tremendous size. This is a legitimate five-star talent as a sophomore.

KAIDEN PROTHRO - Bowden (Ga.) High School

It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Prothro is also a very good basketball player. He is a tremendous athlete with big time vertical speed for a tight end on the next level. As of now, Prothro boasts a clean frame that should be able to add a ton of weight. He is basically an oversized boundary wide receiver right now but the upside is exceptionally high. The sky is truly the limit for Prothro.

HEZE KENT - Brunswick (Ga.) High School

On film, Kent looks like a legitimate 6-5 and 250 pounds. He is very physically advanced for his age, and he uses all of that size to his advantage. Kent is a massive target in the passing game and Brunswick also uses him in the run game as well. His brute strength and size really pop on film. Whether after the catch or as a runner, Kent is a hard player to get on the ground.

JC ANDERSON - Mt. Zion (Ill.) High School

At 6-7 and 230 pounds, Anderson brings a long and lean frame to the table. He is an overall smooth athlete, having solid straight line speed and flexibility. However, his best work comes in the air. Anderson consistently extends for the football at its highest points, showcasing good ball skills and hand strength. He isn’t used much in line but is a good blocker on the perimeter. Mt. Zion utilizes Anderson mostly as a big pass catcher right now.
