Notre Dame Offers Standout 2024 Offensive Tackle Andrew Sprague

The Notre Dame staff suffered a big loss on Sunday when offensive line Coach Harry Hiestand announced his retirement, instantly leaving some big shoes to fill up front for the offensive staff. Despite that massive void, the offensive line recruiting efforts continued on Monday with the staff extending an offer to 2024 Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst offensive tackle Andrew Sprague.

Before the dead period hit, the staff had been out to visit Rockhurst multiple times to check in on the Missouri standout. The 6-8, 270-pound offensive tackle brings a very intriguing blend of size and athleticism to the table.

After Notre Dame put together an impressive five-man class during the 2023 recruiting class, they have already gotten a commitment from Pennsylvania standout Peter Jones in 2024. They are looking to stack back-to-back tremendous classes with the emphasis on true offensive tackles.

Sprague is a very well regarded recruit from a rankings perspective. He is considered as a consensus four-star recruiting across every major recruiting platform. On3 is currently the highest on Sprague, currently ranking him as the No. 149 overall player and No. 13 offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class. They also see him as the No. 4 player in the state of Missouri, a territory that Notre Dame has made more of a priority to have an impact in.

The offer list continues to expand for Sprague, who is being courted by some of the top schools in the Midwest and all over college football. Some of the notable programs who have offered include the Irish, Michigan, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Kentucky, Auburn, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Purdue, Stanford, Northwestern, Colorado, Boston College, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Vanderbilt and Duke among others.
