Notre Dame Offers Star 2024 Florida Pass Rusher Solomon Williams

Notre Dame has extended an offer to Florida pass rusher Solomon Williams, who is one of the more dynamic defenders in the 2024 recruiting class

A team can never have enough talented pass rushers and Notre Dame is in the market to continue to add that element to the roster. The staff added an impressive defender to the already impressive 2024 recruiting board on Tuesday when they extended an offer to Tampa Bay (Fla.) Carrollwood Day standout defender Solomon Williams.

Williams' offer list rivals the elite players in the 2024 recruiting class. The 6-2, 230-pound defender holds offers from the Fighting Irish, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Florida State, Tennessee, Penn State, Michigan State, Auburn, USC, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Iowa State, Illinois, Wake Forest, Louisville, Maryland, Kansas, Rutgers

Somehow his recruiting rankings have not caught up to his offer list. The Florida native is currently ranked only on the On3 recruiting ranking, sitting just as a three-star and the No. 37 linebacker in the class.

In ten games as a junior, Williams put together an outrageous season. He finished with 61 total tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks. Williams also recorded eight quarterback hurries and a forced fumble on the season.

Notre Dame already has a commitment from a talented defensive lineman in 2024 with New Jersey star Owen Wafle who projects favorably inside on the next level. There is an emphasis to add true Vyper types in the class and Williams looks like a perfect fit.

Williams is also teammates of wide receiver Bredell Richardson and running back Anthony Carrie, both of whom are key targets for Notre Dame. The staff is hoping to make an impact in the state of Florida in 2024.
