Standout 2025 Defensive Lineman Davion Dixon Sets Visit To Notre Dame

The Blue-Gold Game is annually an exciting weekend for Notre Dame football. On top of showing the fruits of a long and productive spring, Irish fans are also able to join in on the excitement for the upcoming season. That weekend is also a massive weekend for recruiting at Notre Dame, bringing in some of the top recruits in the 2024 and 2025 classes on April 22nd.

The Irish will be getting a visit from standout 2025 Miami (Fla.) Belen Jesuit Prep defensive tackle Davion Dixon that weekend, which will be the second visit on campus for the talented defender. On the surface, Dixon has the makings of one of the elite defensive players in the 2025 recruiting class as he continues to develop.

Dixon was an absolute menace as a sophomore. He finished second on the team with 70 total tackles, while also recording 33 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks. Dixon also posted 24 quarterback hurries, broke up five passes, forced a fumble, recovered another and blocked a kick.

Despite only being sophomore, Dixon continues to hear from some of the top programs in college football. The 6-2, 305-pound defender has received offers from the Irish, Florida, Nebraska, Penn State, Florida State, Auburn, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Louisville, West Virginia, and Syracuse among others.
