The spring and summer are going to be incredibly busy for the Notre Dame staff, setting up to host several talented recruits in the 2024 and 2025 recruiting classes. On Monday, 2025 Philadelphia (Pa.) Neumann Goretti defensive end Daniel Adefolarin announced that he will be making his first visit to South Bend on April 21st.

While Adefolarin doesn’t currently hold an offer from the Irish, he is a player that Notre Dame is keeping close tabs on. He’s excited to really get to know the staff and see what the program is all about.

“I’m starting to build relationships with Coach (Al) Golden,” Adefolarin said. “He wants me up there this spring and possibly in the summer as well.

“As of right now I’m looking for schools that are interested in me and what I have to bring to the program,” he continued. “I’m looking forward to what Notre Dame football is all about and the culture up there.”

Overall, the entire recruiting process has been an incredible performance for Adefolarin. He is hoping that the interest he is experiencing turns into more offers but for now, he is just enjoying the process.

“Recruiting has been good,” Adefolarin said. “I currently have an offer from Temple and interest from schools like West Virginia, UConn, Virginia Tech and a few others. I’m blessed to get to know these coaching staffs.”

The 6-4, 225-pound pass rusher has been in contact with several high level programs despite being just a sophomore. His only offer currently is from Temple but there are expectations that his offer list will begin to fill out very quickly.

Neumann Goretti is fresh off of a 11-4 season, led by a defense that surrendered just 9.7 points per contest. Adefolarin was a big part of that success. He collected 45 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, six sacks and broke up five passes. The sophomore stud was a substantial performer for the staunch unit.
