Talented 2025 Offensive Tackle Maki Stewart Recaps Notre Dame Visit

In this story:
Notre Dame continues to be a popular spot for talented visitors, and one of those was 2025 Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany offensive tackle Maki Stewart. The California native quickly got acquainted well with the values of the Irish program, including some much needed time with Joe Rudolph.
"My favorite part of the trip was probably talking with Coach Rudolph,” Stewart told Irish Breakdown. "I had the chance to really have some quality time with him and to get to know him on a deeper level.”
Although Stewart left the visit without an offer being extended, he received some positive feedback for this relationship to continue to build. The Irish staff seems very interested in the California standout.
"The message from Notre Dame was pretty much that they are an offensive lineman university and I can really strive to develop there and get to the next level,” Stewart explained. “They produce great offensive lineman consistently.
"What really surprised me was the history,” he continued. "I knew about Notre Dame but they showed me around the facilities and the history around the school. It was eye opening.”
Things are really starting to heat up for Stewart on the recruiting trail. That process promises to get very busy moving forward.
"Recruiting has been going pretty well,” he said. "I've earned three scholarships in the last week and am excited to continue to get to know these coaches.”
Stewart is considered a four-star recruit currently by Rivals. That ranking has him pegged as the No. 201 overall player and the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class.
The Bishop Alemany standout has already begun to garner the attention of several notable programs. Some of Stewart’s top offers to date include Florida State, South Carolina, Utah, BYU, Purdue, Washington State, Arizona State, Arizona, UCF and Syracuse among others.
Stewart, who is an imposing presence at 6-5 and 290 pounds, is a big part of the Warriors potent ground attack. In 2022, the team averaged 253.6 rushing yards per game and averaged 5.7 yards per carry. The team has two runners who eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing on the season.
