Notre Dame Trending Well With Florida Safety Ivan Taylor

In this story:
For the second time this offseason, talented 2025 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange safety Ivan Taylor will be heading to Notre Dame. Taylor camped at Notre Dame in June and earned his official offer from the Irish. Now he's headed to the Notre Dame recruiting cookout.
Taylor is excited to get back to campus and experience the Irish program from a new vantage point. This time as a priority recruit who holds an offer. That honor is something that means a lot to Taylor.
"I’m planning on trying to get to campus and be around the coaches and the campus as much as I can,” Taylor told Irish Breakdown. "Obviously I was there for the camp but this will be a bigger opportunity to really experience everything while holding an offer.
"The most exciting thing I’m trying to see on the trip is the coaching staff,” he continued. “Coach (Chris) O’Leary and Coach (Marcus) Freeman are both great people. I’ve been getting to really know them a lot better and hope that continues on the visit.”
Heading into this trip, Notre Dame is among the top schools for Taylor. The talented defensive back could definitely see himself fitting in with the Irish.
"Right now, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Florida and Louisville are my top schools,” he explained. "Each of them have really been in contact consistently and making me feel at home.
"I think I could definitely fit in great with Notre Dame,” Taylor added. “My relationship with the staff is definitely one of the best that I have been around. They are all great people and love football.”
Taylor is already a consensus four-star by every major recruiting platform. He is ranked as a top 30 nationally recruit by both 247Sports (No. 30) and ESPN (No. 28). Both platforms rate Taylor as the No. 3 safety in the 2025 recruiting class.
The 6-0, 170-pound safety is being courted by some of the top prospects in all of college football. Taylor currently holds offers from the Fighting Irish, Alabama, Michigan, USC, Penn State, Florida, Tennessee, Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Pittsburgh among several others.
In only nine games as a sophomore, Taylor made his full impact on the back end. He finished the season with 65 total tackles, five tackles for loss, half a sack, three interceptions and eight pass breakups.
