Notre Dame Will Host 2025 Virginia Linebacker Brett Clatterbaugh To Campus This Spring

The next few months are going to be very busy for the Notre Dame staff, welcoming various 2024 and 2025 recruits to campus. 2025 Culpeper (Va.) Eastern View standout linebacker Brett Clatterbaugh has informed Irish Breakdown that he will be making the trip to South Bend on April 12th.

That will be a part of a bit of a Midwest swing for Clatterbaugh, who will also be visiting Ohio State on April 13th.

Clatterbaugh’s offer list is continuing to expand. Some of the notable programs who have extended offer so far include Penn State, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Virginia, West Virginia and Rutgers among others.

He is currently considered as a four-star and the No. 170 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class according to Rivals. Clatterbaugh is also an outstanding wrestler in the 215 pound weight class, sitting as one of the best in the state of Virginia.

The 6-2, 220-pound defender is coming off an exceptional season for the Eastern View Cyclones as a sophomore. He led the team in tackles, collecting 87 total, eight tackles for loss and two sacks in eight games played.

Clatterbaugh was also a substantial performer on the offensive side of the football. He had his biggest impact as a pass receiver, leading the team with 243 receiving yards and three touchdowns on just 11 receptions (22.1 yards per catch). The Virginia native also scored another three touchdowns as a short yardage running back.
