Notre Dame Is Building Early Bond With North Carolina Receiver Brody Keefe

Standout 2026 wide receiver Brody Keefe talks Pot of Gold and early relationship with Notre Dame

Notre Dame offered a long list of talented pass catchers during the Pot of Gold offer even on Sunday. One of the more imposing presences on the board is Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park wide receiver Brody Keefe, who brings an outstanding blend of size, length and athleticism.

Keefe has been on campus before, so the Irish program is no secret. It left a great impression on him, and has made Keefe want to get back again to explore deeper and get to know the coaches even more.

"I loved my visit to Notre Dame,” Keefe told Irish Breakdown. "I think being there with Jack Larsen helped too because I heard a lot from him about the program and everything. The tradition there is like no other and then you bring in a young passionate coach like (Marcus) Freeman. It’s a good combination for me.

"I’m definitely building a relationship with Coach (Mike) Brown,” Keefe continued. “He seems like a great coach. I’m excited to get up there to really learn more about him and his style.”

Overall, the Pot of Gold was a proud moment for Keefe. He clearly understands how fortunate he is, and what that day means.

“Pot of Gold is a really cool tradition,” Keefe said. “It was definitely special to be a part of that. It makes the announcement stand out for sure

Keefe is considered one of the better wide receivers in the 2026 class, so expectedly a lot of schools are pursuing him. He’s taking everything in, enjoying it as much as possible and enduring the search.

“Overall recruiting has been great,” explained. “I think no one tells you how intense it is physically though. There is a lot of travel and calls and interviews. It’s a lot to juggle but I'm really grateful for the opportunities.

“I’m headed to Tennessee this weekend for practice, Alabama for a few practices the first week of April and then to the Ohio State spring game The weekend after,” he added. “Then I’ll be hitting practice at Florida State before my Tampa Bay tournament. I’m trying to get out to Texas and Texas A&M as well.”

Getting Keefe back on campus is the next step for the Irish. There is clearly some interest early and they must continue that momentum.

Keefe is well liked from a recruiting ranking perspective so far. That is especially true on the Rivals ranking, where he currently sits as a four-star and the No. 92 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class. He is also a four-star on the On3 Industry ranking, pegged as the No. 124 overall player and No. 19 wide receiver in the class.

It shouldn't be much of a surprise that several big time programs are pursuing the North Carolina star. Some of Keefe’s top offers so far include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina, Arkansas, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Duke and Wake Forest among others.

As a sophomore, Keefe put together an impressive season for Myers Park. The 6-3, 185-pound pass catcher hauled in 41 receptions for 599 yards and 11 touchdowns. Keefe also added another rushing score on the ground.
