Notre Dame Recruiting Hour: Spring Visits Begin, NFL Combine Recap

Irish Breakdown discusses the visitors Notre Dame hosted this weekend and then recaps the Irish players at the NFL Scouting Combine

There was plenty to discuss in the latest Notre Dame Recruiting Hour, which went even beyond the recruiting trail. Notre Dame kicked off the spring visit schedule this weekend, and four former Irish players performed in the NFL Scouting Combine, and those two topics were the primary aspects of the latest show.

This past weekend, Notre Dame hosted defensive end Cameron Clark and athlete Isiah Canion, a high school quarterback being recruited as a wide receiver. During the show the guys discuss the visits for both this weekend, and the moves Notre Dame was able to make with both. There is some discussion of their game, but the primary focus is on their recruiting visits.

There was also discussion about standout offensive lineman Caleb Brewer and big time tight end Jaden Reddell, who both set up visits to Notre Dame in the month of March.

Following the discussion on Notre Dame recruiting, the staff jumps into a recap of the NFL Scouting Combine for four Notre Dame prospects. Ryan and Shaun discuss the strong performances from tight end Michael Mayer and edge rusher Isaiah Foskey, the solid performance from offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson and the disappointing performance of safety Brandon Joseph.

During this portion of the show they also discuss comments made during the combine interview sessions.

As we always do, the show concludes with a mailbag session where the IB team answers questions from listeners and viewers.
