Ohio State Buckeyes QB Will Howard Inks NIL Deal with Ricart Automotive Group

Transfer quarterback Will Howard is the latest member of the Ohio State Buckeyes to sign a name, image and likeness deal with Ricart Automotive Group.

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard has some new wheels.

On Tuesday, the transfer signal-caller became the latest Buckeyes player to sign a name, image and likeness deal with Ricart Automotive Group. Howard's agreement was made through the non-profit "THE Foundation," which works directly with Ohio State football and basketball athletes.

As part of his deal, Howard received a scarlet-colored Ford Bronco in which to pull up to Ohio Stadium for Saturday's 2024 Spring Game.

Howard came to Ohio State following four seasons with the Kansas State Wildcats. The Downingtown, Pennsylvania native amassed almost 5,800 passing yards alongside 68 total touchdowns.

Because his collegiate career began during the 2020 season (which was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic), Howard and other athletes in his class were given an extra year of eligibility. Howard made the decision to spend this additional season slinging passes on one of the biggest stages in the game.

“My time at Kansas State kind of hardened me,” Howard said. “Obviously, it wasn’t on the stage that this is, but I’m ready. Nothing that is worth getting ever comes easy. This opportunity was just too good to pass up."

Howard's move spurred all kinds of reactions from fans, particularly of Kansas State. However, the fifth-year senior said he has trained himself to ignore the noise.

"People can say what they want about me," Howard said. "It’s in one ear and out the other. Obviously, it’s hard balancing that stuff, but I have learned to kind of block it out and be me and trust God and be the best version of myself every day.”
