Buckeye Breakfast: NFL Training Camps, Jack Nicklaus and The Memorial Tournament

Rise and shine, Buckeye Nation! Each morning, we get you caught up on the latest news and information regarding the Ohio State Buckeyes and the college athletics world. Here are your headlines for July 19, 2020.
NFL Training Camps Opening as Scheduled
All 32 NFL franchises will commence on training camps as previously determined, the league announced Friday afternoon. Under the current collective bargaining agreement, reporting dates for the various groups will be July 21 (rookies), July 23 (quarterbacks, injured players) and July 28 (all others).
Ohio State currently has 63 total alumni set to begin the preseason, including recent first-round draft picks Chase Young, Jeff Okudah and Damon Arnette.
Memorial Tournament Ready for Another Champion
The Memorial Tournament, created in 1976 by Buckeye alum and golfing legend Jack Nicklaus, will culminate on Sunday afternoon at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. Nicklaus, who won the tournament twice himself early on, delivered 117 professional wins and 18 major victories over the course of his career.
The Memorial was originally scheduled to be the first golf event this year to allow fans until that recently changed as a result of the sweeping COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the “Golden Bear” will be waiting near the 18th green Sunday afternoon to shake the hand of a new winner.
We hope you have a great day - and remember ... time and change will surely show, how firm thy friendship OHIO!
