The Ohio State women's swimming and diving team secured their fourth Big Ten Championship in as many years on Saturday at the University of Michigan's Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor.

The Buckeyes earned 1,425 points as a team, which was more than runner-up Indiana's 1,291.5 points and third-place Michigan's 1,108 points.

Racers and teams from Ohio State were the top finishers in 11 races: the 200-meter medley relay, 200-meter individual medley, 50-meter freestyle, 400-meter medley relay, 100-meter butterfly, 400-meter individual medley, 100-meter breaststroke, 100-meter backstroke, 200-meter free relay, 100-meter freestyle and 400-meter freestyle relay.

Seven of those 11 teams set new pool records for Canham Natatorium, including senior Josie Panitz in the 200-meter individual medley and graduate Felicia Pasadyn in the 400-meter individual medley.

In addition to the multiple Canham Natatorium marks broken by the Buckeyes, three teams clocked times faster than any Ohio State roster before them.

Senior Amy Fulmer won the 100-meter freestyle in 47.02 seconds and the 400-meter freestyle relay foursome of juniors Katherine Zenick and Catherine Russo, sophomore Teresa Ivan and Fulmer took first with a time of 3:10.12.

The 200-meter freestyle relay team of Zenick, sophomore Nyah Funderburke, Ivan, and Fulmer's time of 1:26.70 not only broke the Ohio State program record but also set a new Big Ten championships mark as well.

Ohio State now has the second-most Big Ten women's swimming and diving championships with nine. Additionally, the four-year streak the Buckeyes are currently enjoying is one year shy of their five-season stretch of Big Ten championships that lasted from 1982 to 1986.

Bill Dorenkott, the head coach of the Buckeyes, earned his seventh Big Ten title with the win, a number good for second all-time among coaches in the conference.
