Bryant Wesco, the nation's No. 9 overall player according to 247Sports, has committed to Clemson.

The 2024 wide receiver announced his decision on Twitter at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Hailing from Midlothian (TX) High School, Wesco was a big-time target for Jeff Lebby and company, who will now pivot their recruiting efforts in the 2024 class. At one point, many believed that Wesco was heavily favoring the Sooners.

The 6-foot-2 wideout is ranked third at his position and is the top player in Texas, per 247Sports. With nearly 30 offers, Wesco is one of the most heavily sought after players in the 2024 cycle.

The Under Armour All-American included Oklahoma in his top eight schools in late March, also including the Tigers after Dabo Swinney and company offered the 5-star from Midlothian just a week prior. The Sooners, however, offered Wesco in June of 2022.

“Really the reputation they always have, going to the playoffs a lot of the times and always being one of the best teams in the country, and Coach Dabo being a great person,” Wesco told 247Sports.

The talented pass-catcher comes from an athletic bloodline, with his father holding a spot in the Louisiana Tech Athletics Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in track and field. Gabe Brooks of 247Sports projects Wesco as a future first round pick in the NFL Draft.

Wesco's sister, Bailey, is a former soccer player for the Sooners who transferred to North Texas over the offseason.

In the last 24 hours, Clemson has also landed commitments from 2024 5-star linebacker Sammy Brown and 2024 4-star wideout TJ Moore.
