Receiving a commitment from Jordan as a walk-on is a good recruiting win for Emmett Jones and company, who have already put together an impressive wide receiver group in the 2024 class. The 5-foot-9 wideout from Southlake, TX holds four FBS scholarship offers from Texas Tech, North Texas, Tulsa and Western Kentucky.
Jordan was a First Team All-Area selection in 2022 after recording 1202 yards and 16 receiving touchdowns as a junior. In 2021, the quick pass catcher earned District Newcomer of the Year honors.
After being recruited to Texas Tech by Jones, Jordan attended the Brent Venables Elite Camp in June, dominating the competition. The skilled slot receiver got open on what seemed like every rep of one-on-one drills, showing off a very polished route tree.
Additionally, Jordan is surprisingly fast, blowing by his defender multiple times while running routes in Norman.
The Sooners coaching staff took notice, pulling Jordan to the side during camp and extending a preferred walk-on offer to the talented wideout. Later in the day, Jones also extended a PWO offer to Steel Tobin of Highland Park High School (TX), who attended camp and is close childhood friends with Jordan.
After an amazing camp at @OU_Football, and a great talk with @CoachEmmett and @CoachVenables I am extremely blessed to receive a PWO from The University of Oklahoma! @ParkerThune @CoachCStringer @cory_coach @coachryangibbs @ScotsRecruiting @HPSCOTSFB @247Sports @On3sports pic.twitter.com/RSN3f3VqD6

Jordan is also teammates with Sooners' 2025 tight end offer Jack VanDorselaer, 2025 running back offer Riley Wormley and 2026 wide receiver offer Brock Boyd at Southlake Carroll. Between his relationships with Tobin, VanDorselaer, Boyd and Wormley and his skill, Jordan could prove to be an important commitment in more ways than one.
At OU, Jordan will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of previous walk-on receivers who made a name for themselves at Oklahoma; such as Lee Morris, Drake Stoops and Gavin Freeman.
Assuming the Jordan plays in the slot, he will have the chance to learn from Freeman, who made multiple highlight reel plays during his true freshman season with the Sooners.
Jordan joins Zion Ragins, Ivan Carreon, KJ Daniels, Dozie Ezukanma and Zion Kearney in OU's 2024 wide receiver group. With a wide variety of skill sets between the six accomplished pass catchers, Jones and company have successfully begun to rebuild Oklahoma's receiver room.
