Reports: Oklahoma Football will Meet Alabama at Home in 2024

In this story:
According to an ESPN report from Chris Low on Wednesday afternoon, the Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Norman to clash with the Sooners in 2024.
Low's story also mentions that Texas will travel to College Station to meet its old foe, Texas A&M, and the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs will make the trek to Austin in 2024.
Texas' first season in the #SEC in 2024 will include road games at Texas A&M and #Arkansas in addition to UT's annual meeting with #OU in the Cotton Bowl and will also feature a home game against #Georgia, sources close to the situation told @Horns247.https://t.co/FbNqRR2O0Z

As the Sooners' make their transition to the SEC, they will get a taste of what life in one of college football's top conferences is like, meeting 18-time national champion Alabama at Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium. The last meeting between the two historic programs was the 2018 Orange Bowl, when Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide took down Kyler Murray and OU 45-34 to secure a berth in the National Championship Game.
Prior to their 2018 matchup, Oklahoma took down Alabama in the 2013 Sugar Bowl with Trevor Knight at the helm, pulling off a massive upset over the No. 3-ranked Crimson Tide.
Led by former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft Bryce Young, Alabama went 11-2 in 2022, taking down the Kansas State Wildcats with ease in the Sugar Bowl. After yet another stellar recruiting class for Nick Saban, the Tide is poised for a spectacular season in 2023.
Despite being over a year out from their matchup against Alabama, it is not a stretch to say the Sooners will have a tall task ahead of them with the Crimson Tide coming to town. After a disappointing first year under Brent Venables, OU fans must hope that the team can return to its previous form in order to have a chance at competing with Saban's squad.
Oklahoma and Texas will receive the rest of their first-year SEC schedules tonight at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
