Daniels, the preseason Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, has only appeared in three games this season for the Jayhawks (5-2, 2-2).
This season, Bean has filled in admirably for Daniels as he has so often in his Kansas career.
The Kansas backup has played in all seven contests so far in 2023, completing 65.3 percent of his passes and throwing nine touchdowns as opposed to just two interceptions.
Bean has also added 91 rushing yards on 27 attempts this season.
Last year, Bean finished the game 16-of-27 through the air for 265 yards, four touchdowns and two picks in KU’s 52-42 loss to OU in Norman, adding 41 rushing yards on 10 carries.
The Sooners (7-0, 4-0) continue to draw the attention of the college football world, as OU’s final Big 12 battle with Kansas attracted Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff and David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium is officially sold out for the 11 a.m. kickoff.
