Reports: Oklahoma Pulls Offer From Juco DE

In this story:
Brent Venables' policies are firm.
He proved that again this weekend when Oklahoma apparently rescinded its scholarship offer to 2023 junior college defensive end Laine Jenkins.
Jenkins committed to OU on May 16, but then arranged a visit to Illinois.
Venables has a hard policy about prospects visiting other schools after a verbal commitment is made. It reportedly happened last year with 4-star wide receiver Ashton Cozart, who committed to the Sooners, then took a visit to Oregon, then had his OU offer pulled. Cozart ended up signing with the Ducks.
The same thing has now happened to Jenkins.
OU Insider reported on Friday that coaches were not thrilled about Jenkins scheduling a visit as Illinois continued to recruit him. Both schools offered on May 16.
A source told AllSooners on Monday that the offer had been pulled, although OU Insider indicated there were other complications at play. 247 Sports put in a prediction Monday that Jenkins will commit to the Illini.
The 6-foot-6, 255-pound Jenkins is a 3-star prospect by 247 Sports, the No. 44 overall juco player in the country and the No. 3 junior college edge rusher.
