The NFL is back, and a new season kicked off Thursday night starting with the Detroit Lions upsetting Kansas City on the road. For the Sooners at the next level, it was a big week all around.
The star-studded performances started with Baker Mayfield, leading Tampa Bay to an underdog win on the road against Minnesota. You can read the full Buccaneers breakdown here, and check out all of Mayfield's top plays.
The former Heisman quarterback led the Buccaneers to a victory behind 173 yards and two touchdowns passing. He was 21-of-34 on the afternoon and turned it on in the second half when it mattered most.
Jalen Hurts, fresh off a deep playoff runs with the Eagles, picked up right where he left off. The talented quarterback totaled 170 yards through the air and a touchdown, adding nine carries for 37 yards on the ground.
Ceedee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys dominated Oklahoma's Giants duo of Sterling Shepard and Eric Gray on Sunday Night Football 40-0. Lamb reeled in all four of his targets for 77 yards, including a highlight catch-and-run of 49 yards down the sidelines.
