The Arizona Cardinals are in the midst of a season that was punted away from the start.

That's what happens when your franchise quarterback goes down and misses a good portion of the games.

In his return, though, Kyler Murray has displayed flashes of brilliance that show why he was awarded with a massive long-term contract extension, and Sunday, he picked up his second win since the injury.

The Cardinals (3-10) and Murray knocked off the seven-win Steelers 24-10 in a massive upset in Pittsburgh. Murray was steady, doing enough to win with 145 yards and one touchdown on 13-of-23 passing. Most importantly, he didn't record any turnovers and helped Arizona manage the game.

His best play of the game won't show up in the stat sheet because it was called back due to holding. But Murray avoided the rush, scrambled to his right and launched a 35-yard strike to Rondale Moore, who caught it in the end zone for a touchdown. The Cardinals would eventually score to total 24 points anyway, but Murray's escapability and accuracy remain top notch.

In four games played, the former Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winner now has 864 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has another three touchdowns on the ground and 106 total rushing yards. He's taking care of the ball at a high right, not giving up any fumbles, and making it work with a shaky receiving corps and offensive line.

The Cardinals will likely be at the top of the draft in the offseason, but it would seem silly to draft a quarterback with Murray playing the way he is. He's clearly a franchise quarterback, and Arizona would be smart to build around him and fill in the holes.

With Murray sidelined, Arizona was 1-8. With him under center, the team is 2-2.

He has been an electrifying player since his time with the Sooners, and he has picked up right where he left off after returning from an ACL tear 11 months ago.
