After visiting Norman for Oklahoma's Elite Junior Day on Jan. 27, 4-star running back Tory Blaylock committed to the Sooners on Friday.

Blaylock and his family posted multiple photos at the event, with the standout running back sporting an OU jersey that featured the SEC patch on the right shoulder.

Hailing from Houston, Blaylock is rated a 4-star recruit in the 2025 class. The Atascocita (TX) star tailback is ranked the No. 159 overall player and the No. 12 running back in the upcoming cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Listed at 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, Blaylock has great quickness and acceleration out of the backfield. Earlier this month, the speedy ball-carrier clocked a 10.56 in the 100-meter dash, edging out former OU running back target and LSU commit Caden Durham in the race.

The Houston-area product also helped Atascocita's 4x100-meter relay team set a national record last weekend, clocking a remarkable time of 38.92 seconds.

Blaylock is the son of former Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets' running back Derrick Blaylock, who tallied 539 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground in 2004.

With Blaylock now on board in the Sooners' 2025 class, Oklahoma has 10 pledges in the upcoming recruiting cycle. Blaylock joins 4-star quarterback Kevin Sperry, 4-star wide receivers Gracen Harris and Elijah Thomas, 3-star athlete Trynae Washington, 4-star tackle Ryan Fodje and 3-star lineman Owen Hollenbeck on offense in what has the potential to be an impressive haul for Brent Venables and company.

Blaylock's commitment also continues DeMarco Murray's impressive recruiting stretch, as the OU running backs coach landed the nation's No. 1 running back in the 2024 class in Taylor Tatum, and one of the nation's top five 2026 running backs in Jonathan Hatton Jr.
