Oklahoma Releases Fall Slate

The Sooners will open the fall with a Battle Series matchup Sept. 30.

NORMAN — Oklahoma softball released its fall schedule Monday.

The slate features four Battle Series games plus four matchups against opposing teams.

All of the Sooners’ fall games will take place at Love’s Field.

The schedule begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 30 with an intrasquad Battle Series matchup.

Patty Gasso’s team will also play Battle Series matchups Oct. 7, 14 and 21.

The first matchup against an outside opponent comes at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 — a bye weekend for the football team.

After the final Battle Series matchup, Oklahoma will also take on USAO at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23, Seminole State at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 before wrapping up the fall slate at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 against East Texas A&M.

A ticket package for all eight games is available for $70.69 with single-game tickets available for $10.88. All fall softball tickets are general admission.

The Sooners return 12 from last season’s team that finished 52-10, missing the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2015.

Oklahoma returns 12 players from that team, including catcher Kendall Wells, who set a program record with 39 home runs. 

Other returners include position players Ella Parker, Gabbie Garcia, Kai Minor, Allyssa Parker, Lexi McDaniel, Sydney Barker and Chaney Helton.

Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, who was limited to just 19 games last season before suffering a season-ending injury, also returns.

Oklahoma also returns pitchers Audrey Lowry and Miali Guachino. Allyssa Parker is also pitches for the Sooners.

Infielder Ori Mailo comes back after redshirting last season.

The Sooners added transfers Macie Harter (Middle Tennessee State), Adi Hansen (Southern Idaho), and Abbie Gregus (Loyola-Chicago).

Among the freshmen joining the Sooners are Juliana “Goose” Hutchens, a utility player from Wagoner who reclassified from the 2027 class to join Oklahoma a season earlier.

Payton Westra, Malaya Majam-Finch, Ki’ele Ho-Ching, Keegan Barker and Ella Kate Smith are the other freshmen on the roster.

Ryan Aber has been covering Oklahoma football for more than a decade continuously and since 1999 overall. Ryan was the OU beat writer for The Oklahoman from 2013-2025, covering the transition from Bob Stoops to Lincoln Riley to Brent Venables. He covered OU men's basketball's run to the Final Four in 2016 and numerous national championships for the Sooners' women's gymnastics and softball programs. He spent two seasons covering Arkansas football for the Morning News of Northwest Arkansas before returning to his hometown of Oklahoma City. Ryan also worked at the Southwest Times Record in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and the Muskogee Phoenix. At the Phoenix, he covered OU's national championship run in 2000. Ryan is a graduate of Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
