The Ole Miss Rebels battered their way to a 12-6 win over Little Rock on Tuesday night, and they will play their second midweek game of the week on Wednesday against the Missouri State Bears.

In total, the Rebels hit four home runs on Tuesday, and both teams combined for eight on the windy evening in Oxford. Freshman Wes Mendes drew the start on the hill for Ole Miss, working three innings of two-hit, two-run ball, both of which were solo home runs in the second and third innings. He also danced around trouble in the first inning with the bases loaded, showing some mental fortitude in his first collegiate start.

Now, the Rebels will turn to RHP Riley Maddox in an attempt to extend their winning streak to four games. Missouri State enters Wednesday's game with a 4-3 record, most recently dropping a weekend series against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in Hattiesburg.
