Ahead of one of the more anticipated games of the entire regular season, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and the legendary Nick Saban will share their thoughts on the matchup and Kiffin's controversial departure along with all of the other action set to take place across college football on Sept. 19.
One can only guess just how many signs Ole Miss fans will have that directly mock or bash Kiffin for leaving the Rebels. Many of these likely won't be appropriate for TV. The ESPN camera crew will need to keeps its eyes peeled just in case.
The Drama For Ole Miss-LSU Goes Beyond Just Lane Kiffin

It doesn't take much to realize why Kiffin's return to Oxford is so highly anticipated, but the headlines surrounding him are far from the only thing fans should be focusing on.
The game also represents a major litmus test for new Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding. The matchup with LSU will mark one of the most emotional and strategical challenges he will face in his first full year at the helm, and perhaps in his entire career.
Kiffin knows his defense, and Golding knows Kiffin's offense. The chess match will be a sight to see.
On top of that, multiple former Ole Miss players will make their return to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, now as LSU Tigers. The hostility won't just be directed at Kiffin, but to the players that chose to follow him.
This includes edge rusher Princewill Umanmielen, linebacker TJ Dottery, offensive linemnan Devin Harper and wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr.,
Ole Miss also has two former LSU players of its own in running back JT Lindsey and offensive tackle Carius Curne.
Buckle up for what could be the most emotional game of the 2026 season.
