Rebels’ Road Trips to Georgia and Alabama Could Be Rough - Locked On Ole Miss Podcast

Early rankings and polls are starting to come in, and Ole Miss is consistently higher than usual. Is that a sign of a 2023 run, and what does it mean?

Today's Locked On Ole Miss Podcast discussed how preseason rankings are coming out, and with each one, you see the Ole Miss Rebels and Lane Kiffin there. 

I know when the season ended, fans were down because of how the last month of the season transpired with the Kiffin-to-Auburn talk, the Arkansas loss, and the Rebels blowing it at home against Mississippi State. I won't even mention the bowl game with Texas Tech Red Raiders. 

But if you see these rankings, the Rebels are really trending toward making a run.

In the second segment of the show, we talk about the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs and what road games to each opponent actually mean. You have early-season Bama with two new coordinators but supremely talented players. Georgia just lost its supremely talented offensive coordinator Todd Monken to the Baltimore Ravens, and the Bulldogs immediately hired Mike Bobo.

In our final segment of the day, we talk about what Ole Miss needs to do for this season to be considered a success, and we go through tough games with the Auburn Tigers and LSU Tigers on top of Georgia and Alabama.
