Jevon Holland thinks that it's about time that college-level athletes start getting paid.

When meeting with the media on Wednesday morning, the Oregon Ducks star safety expressed joy when asked about the new 'Fair Pay to Play' act that was signed into law in California earlier this week. The bill will allow college student-athletes to get receive money for endorsement deals, starting in 2023, and it will also allow players to hire agents in the meantime.

Holland said that, while the new act would not have affected his decision to come to Oregon, rather than schools like Stanford or USC, he thinks that many states will soon follow California's lead, as it will be used as a major recruiting tool.

Holland's pick for the next state to transition? Alabama spurred on by the Nick Saban lead Crimson Tide.
