Football is back in Eugene.

On Thursday the Oregon Ducks held their first of 15 spring practices at the Hatfield-Dowlin Complex.

While it may not have been the "Real football" that Dan Lanning and his players have been anxiously awaiting this offseason, it was still a chance for guys to run around, practice their technique and sharpen their understanding of the scheme.

Lanning and the Ducks practiced in front of a handful of impressive recruits as well, with Oregon boasting the Pac-12's top recruiting class and looking for more talent in the 2024 class.

There were plenty of new faces on the field Thursday as the Ducks welcomed 26 new players from the high school and transfer portal ranks, as well as numerous assistant coaches and analysts.

It's been an eventful offseason in Eugene and the Ducks got 2023 season off to a good start on Thursday with their first practice under their belts.

Here are some of the top photos from Thursday's practice.
