The visitor list for Oregon's spring game is on pace to be an all-timer. One of the biggest weekends we've seen in recent years.

On Friday, that list added another massive name as 2024 Duncanville (Tex.) EDGE Colin Simmons announced that he'll be in Eugene to see the Ducks on April 29.

He's the latest elite edge rusher to make his way out West as fellow five-star Elijah Rushing from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic also locked in a trip for the spring game earlier this week. Other five-stars expected in Eugene that weekend include Buford (GA) safety KJ Bolden, Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle quarterback Dylan Raiola and Washington, DC Friendship Collegiate Academy EDGE Dylan Stewart.

Simmons stands at 6'3" and weighs 225 pounds. The 247Sports Composite rates him a five-star (0.9971) recruit and ranks him the No. 3 recruit nationally, the No. 1 edge rusher and the No. 1 player in Texas.

He's got a who's who of college football's elite clamoring for his commitment, amassing 45 reported scholarship offers. Even with so many schools pursuing him, there may be one that's starting to stand out, as 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has his crystal ball on Simmons ending up at LSU.

That prediction was logged on July 13, 2022 with medium confidence (6/10), so it may be worth taking with a grain of salt as he's taken a lot of trips since then.

His next trip to Eugene won't be his first, as he was on campus for a visit last summer. Aside from Oregon, the Texas standout will reportedly take trips to Texas A&M, USC, Florida and Colorado prior to seeing the Ducks this spring.

Oregon has recruited Duncanville in previous cycles, landing a commitment from 2022 OT Cameron Williams, but he eventually flipped to Texas after Mario Cristobal's departure. The Ducks are also recruiting other Duncanville standouts including safety Ka'Davion Dotson (2024), wide receiver Dakorien Moore (2025) and ATH Tyren Polley Jr. (2025).

Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi are pursuing a number of talented edge rushers in the 2024 class and it's safe to say Simmons is at the very top of their wish list along with Rushing.
