2024 Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor wide receiver Jordan Anderson has decommitted from the Oregon Ducks.

He announced his decision over social media on Friday.

The 6-foot, 165-pound wide receiver had been committed to Oregon since December 22 of last year, choosing the Ducks from a top group that included Washington, Colorado, USC and Texas among others.

He's rated a four-star (0.9263) recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 177 player nationally the No. 27 wide receiver and the No. 17 recruit in California .

Following Anderson reopening his recruitment, the Ducks have two wide receivers commitment in the 2024 recruiting class: San Jacinto (Calif.) standout Dillon Gresham and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei pass catcher Jack Ressler

Oregon's 2024 recruiting class now has 23 total verbal commitments, with many on track to sign their national letter of intent during the early signing period in under two weeks.

Veteran wide receiver Troy Franklin is expected to announce his NFL decision in the near future, and many expect the record-setting wideout will opt for the NFL. If Franklin does in fact head to the NFL, the Ducks would have returning starters Tez Johnson, Gary Bryant Jr. and Traeshon Holden on the roster for the 2024 season, however those decisions remain to be determined.

Junior Adams and the Ducks also have a number of young wide receivers on the roster in former five-star recruit Jurrion Dickey, as well as Arizona product Kyler Kasper

The wide receiver position has been in the headlines for Oregon lately, as true freshman Ashton Cozart, a four-star wide receiver in the 2023 recruiting class, entered the transfer portal just before Oregon played in the Pac-12 Championship game.
