2025 Riverview (Fla.) Sumner High offensive tackle Ziyare Addison is on the rise after he took home offensive line MVP honors at the Under Armour camp in Orlando last month.

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound mauler has emerged as a priority on A'lique Terry's offensive line big board and spoke with Ducks Digest about the latest developments in his recruitment.

With the dead period ending this week, Addison will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to visit Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson tide.

He'll also get his first look at Oregon next month for the Ducks' annual spring game.

"I'm planning on coming up on the 24th of April," he said. "April 24th through the 27th I'll be there. I do have an OV set up as well."

Addison will take his official visit to Oregon the weekend of June 7 and went in-depth on his interest in the Ducks.

"They're keeping it real with me in the process," he said of what stands out about Oregon. "They haven't switched up any type or any way throughout the recruiting process. They all stayed the same, genuine, great people and I'm looking forward to meeting them."

The coveted offensive lineman had the chance to host head coach Dan Lanning and A'lique Terry at his school earlier this year and appreciates the Ducks being one of his earlier offers.

"I have a great relationship with Terry and Lanning. Matter of fact, Oregon was my fourth scholarship. I was only 250 pounds when they offered, now I'm 280 pounds," he said. "They really love how I wrestle and I run track. I'm one of the most athletic linemen in the country.

"They just saw the potential before everything started blowing up for me. I have a great relationship with both of those coaches and I look forward to getting up there in the spring."

Aside from his trips to Eugene, the Florida native is slated for a busy slate of trips this spring and listed off schools he's planning to see.

"Alabama, Georgia Tech, Colorado, Penn State, Florida State, Oregon, Nebraska, Florida. Some of the schools I'm going to."

With so many schools in the mix, Addison emphasized that his recruitment is wide open, but he has a rough timeline in mind.

"I'm taking my visits .Some of these schools I haven't visited yet. Just going around the country to see where home is. My recruiting process is still 100% open. I'm still trying to find home. Taking all these trips to find home and then I'll narrow it down somewhere in May or June."

As for a commitment, he seems pretty set on when he wants to wrap up his process.

"August. Before the football season," Addison said.

As he heads into his junior season of track and field he's set a great foundation in both the 100 (12.8) and 200 (25.8) meters.

Ziyare Addison off the field

"I'm a hard worker, family man. I really love to spend time with my family. I watch a lot of anime. I know where I want to go, I know where I want to be. So I just put my head down and I just work."
