PITTSBURGH -- For the second year in a row, a former member of the Pittsburgh Panthers frontcourt has committed to play at St. Bonaventure.
Max Amadasun, a 6-foot-10 center from Dublin, Ireland announced via Instagram on Saturday that he is headed to Olean, New York to play for head coach Mark Schmidt and the Bonnies.
He follows in the footsteps of former teammate Abdoul Karim Coulibaly, who left Pitt for St. Bonaventure last year.
With the Panthers, Amadasun appeared in 11 games and averaged under two minutes per contest. He scored a total of four points and hauled in five rebounds over those games spread across his two seasons.
As a prospect, Amadasun made a name for himself with his play against international competition, while living in Dublin, Ireland and playing with the Dublin Lions and Ireland Youth National Team. He moved to the United States when he was 16.
Amadasun was a three-star recruit coming out Our Savior Lutheran High School in New York City and garnered offers from St. John's, St. Louis, Penn State, UMass, Old Dominion and Rhode Island, in addition to Pitt.
Amadasun has three years of eligibility remaining.
