Huggins, the former Cincinnati Bearcats head coach, called Xavier fans "Catholic [explative]s" in an appearance for the Bill Cunningham Show on WLW radio in Cincinnati. The Mountaineers played there last season and Huggins has a long history with the Musketeers and their fans, who are bitter, long-time rivals of their neighbors in Cincinnati, the Bearcats.
Pitt is scheduled to make the trip down to Morgantown early this December for the 190th edition of the Backyard Brawl. Whether Huggins will be there to greet them is unclear.
