The Outland Trophy is given annually by the Greater Omaha Sports Committee to the most outstanding interior lineman in college football that season.
Goncalves emerged as one of the Panthers' best offensive lineman after a strong 2022 campaign in which he helped fill in for Carter Warren, a starter and team captain who went down with a knee injury midway through the season. He projects as a starter at right tackle this coming season.
He's already earned preseason recognition as an All-ACC player by Phil Steele, Athlon Sports, Pro Football Focus and College Football Network.
