Nate Peterman Tosses Beautiful Touchdown Against Colts

PITTSBURGH -- Since leaving Pitt Panthers in 2017, Nate Peterman has struggled through a rough NFL career, but with experience has come some better results.
Peterman, who began his career at Tennessee before transferring to and starting at Pitt, is competing for the Chicago Bears' backup quarterback job and took a big step forward with a strong day in Week 2 of the preseason against the Indianapolis Colts.
He completed 10 of 18 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. On the score, he connected with Reese Fountain on a beautiful 35-yard strike to the sideline. Peterman rolled to his right and unleashed a perfect pass on the run to earn six points.

Peterman orchestrated one of the best offenses in Pitt history. In 2016, he started all 13 games for the Panthers, who set what were then school records in scoring. He completed 60.5% of his passes for 2,855 yards with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions while posting the ACC's highest passer rating (163.4).
